Impressions of a new love
The Hematite is for me the star of the new release
Here's the green one in a few "old" combos:

Looks like those tinted hematites are going to be the stars of this release. As you have shown, they are really really versatile.

Are they all going to be of the same colour or they are going to have different shades???

Re: Impressions of a new love
They are perfect with the peacocks and are going to add a new dimension to our bracelets. I loved them when I had an early sneak peek, I'm glad so many others are so taken with them. Now I can't decide which colour to buy and how many? A pair of blue, a blue and a green? Decisions, decisions.

The hematites are gorgeous and your photos are great! Perhaps I also need the blue one--then maybe I will finally use my peacock OoAK. Thanks for posting your photos, they are very helpful!

Re: Impressions of a new love
Looking at the photos TB Delaware posted on Facebook-----there is some variation in the hematite beads. They posted 6 of each bead for pre-orders. Not a huge variation in diameter, but some are thicker than others. The colors vary somewhat, too.
The Red Hematites are nearly all purple, shading from deep blue violet to dark magenta. A few are dark blu-ish red, possibly okay with a dark ruby. But you're safest if you assume they are reddish purple. Some are quite uniformly shiny, others have a small-scale crackly graining.
The Green Hematites seem more uniform, dark green, some tending to dark blue-green.
The Blue Hematites are a gorgeous deep inky blue, some having a bit of a green tint.
The Yellow Hematites vary from bronze to dark copper to dark gold.
I like them!

Re: Impressions of a new love
Just went to see the pics of TB Delaware.
Great to see the variations, especially the yellow ones from dark gold to dark copper.
My LD had one golden Hematite on display together with a single never-ending gold bead on a bracelet. It was stunning.
Looking forward to pick the other colors in person too, one by one

They look very versatile but you don't need to tempt me, I already have a set on hold awaiting funding.

Your hematite is beautiful!
The hematites are the best of this spring TB's, I love them, in all colours.

@Fleur: Thanks so much for sharing your photos!
@LindaJo: Thanks for heads-up on the TB Delaware photos.
I'm starting with the gold and blue hematite; I know I want the purple one and I bet I'll end up with a green one also.

Re: Impressions of a new love
Having seen the hematites IRL i really like them the green one does work really well with your S&B peacocks amd as Fleur said the yellow ones will look amazing with gold beads.
I was wondering though if they would scratch easily as i am quite clumsy so perhaps will wait to see how they wear on the wrist before buying them

Re: Impressions of a new love
The hematities are the perfect accent bead. I think they seem to draw attention to the beads next to them that have a design or pattern.
I can feel the need to own one in every color.
Thanks for posting the photos.

Thank you !
Got my second hematite today, the blue one. I-could-not-resist.
Boy, these are really addictive.
Looking forward to some beadplay tomorrow.

Re: Impressions of a new love
Thank you for those pictures! I have been away from bead collecting for one year.
I decided to tip my toes on the water again, by ordering two green hematites from Nadia. Maybe all I need is a bit of bead play with something new to rekindle my bead love.
