Faery goes to Africa
After a long wait, my Faery Africa beads and lock arrived yesterday, I have been collecting beads for this permanent combo since I first heard there was going to be Africa beads, my combo is inspired by the beautiful tissues and fabrics the African women wear, exactly to my liking and I really really love this so much.
The lock is beautiful, great detail as always and came very nicely finished, the beads are gorgeous, just the way I love them, quite heavy, but that is the way I prefer them. The design is extremely beautiful,
By chance I found a nice cup in a third world shop, unfortunately only one set left, but I knew, it would help to explain my design, and besides, I love shopping for mugs and the like, sitting like a
in the spring sun, drinking coffee and meditate over my new treasures.
Wish there was a pendant too
I got plenty of beads to go with it and also plenty of other stuff,
One thing I want to say, on the bracelet is a wonderful wonderful lilac bead, I got it gifted from a most wonderful lady and I am over the moon with this bead which will always have a place of honour and always be cherished, thank you so much again!
omg.... so much writing, normally I am not that proliferic...here the pics....

Cats, these are stunning! And I love that you are focusing on the women of Africa for the colors and designs of the glass beads.

Utterly gorgeous! I love the theme and colors you choose to go with the silvers and how these highlight other, even more colorful, aspects of Africa. Your beautiful earthenware provides a perfect background and enhances the vivid colors of your creations.
And yes, there are pendants too. Pictures follow soon when Eva and Manon are back.

A lovely creature that Faerybeads has been able to capture it's beauty . You Catsworld have given a wonderful choice of colours and texture!! You can feel the taste of Africa, really really worth waiting to see! I am sure the special liliac bead is honored to have such a place in a wonderful combination... The bead couldn't have dreamed of a better life!!

Your bracelet is amazing! I love the bright, cheerful colors, and they are perfect with the lock. And the lock itself is stunning! I pre-ordered one, and am eagerly awaiting the moment it's in my hands. I'm so glad to have a little eye candy in the form of your gorgeous photos to drool over in the meantime. They assure me the lock will be worth the wait!

This is utterly GORGEOUS, Cats!! I love it so much.
This reminded me of something that I hope you don't mind me sharing, I'm rather proud of it...
I was project manager for a program in the company I work for called "Fabric of Africa" - it is all about improving access to healthcare for African women and children (because women are the "fabric" that bind society). You can read more here if you're interested: www.philips.com/FabricofAfrica (scroll down and notice the visuals
